Speaking of babies....

where did you go to have yours?  Seems like St. Joes is the most popular hospital.  Anyone deliver at TMC or UMC?

Re: Speaking of babies....

  • I delivered at St. Joseph's, and rave about it! It was the best experience. 13 years ago I delivered my son at UMC... maybe because it was 13 years ago and I was young and didn't really know what to look for and expect, but it wasn't a great experience.

  • I had my daughter a year ago at UMC.  It was nice but I had to share a room one night and I live about 20 minutes away.  This baby will be born at St. Joes.  I live very close by and they have a new building.  I am very excited to check it out.

  • I'm going to St. Joes and had a friend that delivered there and said it was great. . . I heard TMC isn't that great b/c of the size and nurse quality, I have a friend that is interning at TMC as a nurse in the maternity ward and she said the same thing
  • Thanks for your responses.  My first choice would be St. Joes, but we live on the far west side and I'm afraid its too far away!  Both my nieces were born at St. Joes and I was really impressed. Too bad St. Mary's doesn't have a maternity ward...
  • You might want to check the women's center at Northwest Hospital. My best friend had her baby there in January and it was a really nice place. She had a great experience there and even attends classes there now for new moms. If you doctor goes there you might want to check it out.
  • My cousin is having hers at Northwest. . . if I lived on the westside of town and not the far east I would probably consider it
