Hey Ladies...I am in the early stages of planning a girls weekend to HHI. We don't want a fancy overpriced hotel or villa, just something clean w/a pool and beach access. I have found the Holiday Inn Oceanfront (South Forest Beach Drive) for super affordable.
Is it crappy?

It is right on the beach, but that's really the only perk. If you don't plan on staying in the room a whole lot... I'd say go for it. You wont be impressed... but its not the worst I've seen.
Have you thought about VRBO for a rental? Usually its cheaper to rent a villa or condo for a week than a hotel.
