Stupid doctors' office (vent)

Argh!!! We were supposed to have the first ultrasound today. Actually, it was supposed to be yesterday, but the office called earlier this week to reschedule to today because the ultrasound tech was going to be out. The office just called this morning and wants to reschedule on me again because the tech still isn't in today.

I know it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but we have been so excited and looking forward to this all week. I even dreamt last night about having the ultrasound and seeing the baby (and even referred to the baby as a boy)--my first baby dream. Add pregnancy hormones to my frustration, and I just want to cry.

My quest today is get an appointment with a new doctor in a different office. I'm sick of feeling like I don't get decent care when I'm seen by the doctor, and then getting jerked around for something as simple as an ultrasound. 

Sorry I'm so whiny, but wish me luck...

That totally bites and I would be completely ticked off as well. Especially when you guys have been looking forward to it and it's the second time it's being reschedule. Good luck finding another doctor. Hope you can get an ultrasound scheduled soon.

So sorry you're having to deal with that. I literally cried at my first appointment because my insurance hadn't sent the referral for me to be seen. After an hour and a half on the phone I was finally able to see the dr and see our LO. Good luck on your new dr search. I'm sure there are plenty of ladies on the bump side that can offer some recs

aww sorry to hear youre having trouble with your doctors. Best of Luck looking for a new one.

If you want I can ask my neighbor who just a baby what her doctors name and info is and give it to you? let me know. She had her baby at Coral Springs Hospital.

I called a new office and got an appointment for this afternoon. They're even going to do an ultrasound. Yay! DH may not be able to go because he already told his boss the original appointment was cancelled, but I understand given the circumstances.

Don't feel bad...if you're not happy w/their service then you def should go to another Dr.  This is the person that has to deliver your child and you want to feel comfortable w/him or her.  Have you asked the Drs office if they can refer to a Ultrasound/Sonogram center?

I'm so sorry to hear that, I know it must be extremely frustrating. I completely agree with PP that your comfort should come first. If they are not making this experience a pleasure and making you feel this way you should def. seek other medical attention. You wouldn't want to have resentment you entire pregnancy. GL! and keep us updated.

Sorry about your disappointing experience, but glad you found a new doc right away. You need to feel like #1.....let us know how the u/s goes!

Good luck finding a new doctor.  You should feel totally comfortable in your OB's office.  Enjoy your ultrasound when you finally get it
