Any recommendations for a hotel in the downtown area? We live about an hour south-east but are coming to spend a weekend away in StL. No specific plans as of yet, just looking for a nice hotel to enjoy the weekend and time spent there. Also want to make sure we are in a good part of town. Only requirement - is a pool - I don't think we even care if it is indoor or outdoor.
Thanks!
Re: Hotels Downtown?
We've stayed at the Westin and really liked it. I've also worked on a sales meeting for work that was held there and the staff at the Westin couldn't havve been more helpful. I don't know if they have a pool though.
If you check out my blog on the nest, if you scroll all the way to the bottom I have alist of hotels in saint louis...
Have fun in saint louis, when are you coming??
The Renaissance Grand is a really nice hotel, and you can usually get really good deals on rooms there. It's on Washington Ave. in the heart of the downtown restaurant/bar area. They have an indoor pool.
The Drury Plaza Hotel also has an indoor pool (there are two Drury Inns downtown--I think the Drury Plaza is the nicer of the two). So does the Ballpark Hilton. So does the Hyatt Regency. I can't think of any downtown hotels with an outdoor pool--maybe the Four Seasons? But that's pricey!
Definitely Four Seasons or The Millenium if you're looking for a relaxing time. My grandparents stayed at the downtown Drury last weekend and were surrounded by a LARGE number of rowdy kids.
