Moms- rec your stroller

I thought I was set with a stroller until I spent the day at Disneyland with my sister who has one.   Now, I'm not sold on it.

What do you have?

Re: Moms- rec your stroller

  • I so wish I would've gotten the graco like I originally planned. Instead I let H talk me into the baby trend and I'm not a huge fan. The graco folds up so easily, is lighter and folds up smaller (than the baby trend 3 wheel i have)
  • If you are planning on having another baby make sure you think about that. we didin't and bought a travel system that included the car seat which isn't compatible with any double strollers

Oh, good call. Which travel system was it?
  • chicco cortina. they just recently came out with a double but only a side by side one
  • LOL, that's the one my sister has that I don't think i want!

  • we got it cause the carseat always had the highest rating but you are going to use the stroller alot longer than the carseat
  • We used a snap n go for when Sarah was still in her infant car seat - we LOVE that thing!!!  Super easy to use and can fold up and open with 1 hand!  Once she moved to the convertible carseat we used her Peg Perego Pilko 3.  Pretty easy to use and comfortable for Sarah.  That stroller was badly damaged on our Ireland trip so we just got a Chicco Trevi that we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!  Even more than the Peg Perego!!  And we just found out, when we bought it, that our infant carseat would have fit perfectly in it!

BRU was getting rid of theirs and only had the floor model left so we ordered it off Amazon for the same price and free shipping.

    I know! I originally wanted a bugaboo but I don't think I do anymore.

  • I have the Graco Metrolite travel system and LOVE it. The carseat is the Graco keyfit so I think its compatible with all Graco strollers - my SIL uses it in her stroller. The stroller is really light and easy to maneuver. It also folds up easliy and quickly.

    Good question Rebecca!

  • I'm waiting on the Uppababy Vista from Ellen.  We should have them the first week of July so I'll have to let you know around then.  You could check out their website though. It looks like it's going to come with some pretty cool features.
  • I have a snap and go, which is perfect for now. I also have a BOB Revolution for walking and jogging and more all terrain use (I haven't had a chance to use it yet). I am also waiting on the Uppa Vista too. DH is pretty excited about that one.
  • Went to BRU and played with the Maxi Cosi one (kind of looks like a bugaboo). It's high on DH's list and I kind of liked it.
  • Really depends on what you think you're going to use it for ...

    ?

Walking/running? ?Get a BOB. ?There is a car seat adapter as well. ?This puppy goes everywhere.

Casual walks around the block? Our Bugaboo Gecko (that they don't make anymore) was fine for that.

Shopping? LOVE the Maclaren Techno Sport.

If folding up light is key for you - look at the Maclarens. ?I rave about the Techno Sport - we bought another one for my mom's place up in Sacramento.?

    ?

Before deciding on which one - figure out what you are more than likely going to use it for. ?Then start comparing brands. ?I'm not a fan of the Gracos - as they use more plastic than a third world country - but that's just my opinion.

    ?

    Good luck!?

  • For a travel system, we got an Evenflo Eurotrek.  It's bulky, heavy and I do not recommend it. It was a gift, so I can't complain though.

We also have a Bugaboo Gecko.  I like that it's light and you can convert to a bassinet.  I don't like that it's a 2 part-er just to fold. we use this stroller a lot.

We also got a Baby Trend umbrella stroller.  This was the stroller we used when we traveled and when I was too lazy to take the Gecko.

Our double stroller is a EasyWalker Duo.  That thing is massive - we've nicknamed that one 'the tank'. You can get a converter for a bassinet.

We just recently got the Bugaboo Bee. I LOVE this one --  even with the recent recall. Very easy to manuever and even if the baby is not quite big enough for an umbrella stroller, he's used it too.  The recline is great and the manueverbility is awesome!  you can have the child face you or out. Folding and unfolding is pretty easy and the basket is pretty roomy.

    Good luck with you decision!
