Moving to Portland! or Seattle!

Hi ladies! This is my first post on the nestie boards, so bear with me! DH and I are moving to the Pacific Northwest from the DC area. ?Our final destination will depend on where we find jobs. ?Do any of you have recommendations for areas to live in Portland that would be good for a young couple to meet other people? We have a dog, love being outdoors, and love great restaurants and bars...??I'm into yoga and pilates... ?So far, we really liked the Alberta Arts district, and the OHSU area. ?The close in SE neighborhoods seemed nice.... jury's out on the Pearl and Nob Hill.

TIA!?

Re: Moving to Portland! or Seattle!

  • You also might want to look into N Portland. There are some great homes, and there are a lot of young couples. There's a movingtooregon bio that has some good information.

  • I'd say you picked some nice areas. I live in SE and I love it here. If you're planning on kids it has an awesome school district (David Douglas). It's pretty much a hop skip and a jump away from most everything. Good luck to you guys with your move.
