Hi All...
So this is mainly for Richmond area girls.. but could stretch out some. What are your plans for the fourth? Where are you planning to watch fireworks if you do?
We are pretty stumped on what to do this year with the Braves being gone. In the past we have usually gone to the game or gone to a friends place close to the stadium for a cookout and then to watch them from his roof.
I guess we could go out to KD to watch them from the hill or Dogwood Dell, but does anyone else know of a good place?
Re: Fourth of July
They usually do a big thing out at the raceway...music, food, and of course fireworks. In the past, they have sold car passes at Kroger...I think it was like $10 a few years ago when we went. We had a good time there. I'm assuming they are doing it again this year, but I haven't heard.
We're just cooking out and hanging out with our neighbors and having some friends over.
We're going to see my DH's family in Charlotte. If you like beer, Capital Ale House is having a beer festival on saturday!
Thanks for all the replies.. now that you said something I remember there being something at the raceway in the past, but honestly I haven't heard anything this year. Maybe stuff will start coming up soon.
Also, Dory... we close this friday. I am happy that it is finally here. We start moving in this weekend. I can't wait!
Just found out Colonial Downs is doing a big fireworks show this year both Friday and Saturday night since there's nothing at the Diamond obviously.
I'm probably going Friday night. Here's the link:

I'm guessing the one at Colonial Downs will be bigger, but there's also a show that Genworth Financial does every year on the 3rd...I had forgot about that one.
