do I really look that bad?

I work at the same place as my MIL. I walked by her and her friend said Hi and walked around the corner, just as I get past the corner I hear "oh boy she looks so tired"

Than this weekend I get a letter, an actual letter in the mail from my aunt, the first lines "I look at the pictures and video in the blog and I see a really tired mommy. Are you taking care of yourself?"

Than I tell my mom about the letter and she says "oh well you do meija.you need to start doing something"

Than I tell my DH about all of the above and he says I've been walking slow and hunched over and when I sit I slump down.

I don't know what they want me to do. It's not like I can nap when I get home. Or go to bed any earlier than I already am.

Re: do I really look that bad?

  • And I'm sure all of these comments really don't help much :( I'm sorry!

Have you gone to the dr. and been checked for anemia or something that might be causing you to be abnormally "run down" outside of just having had a baby?

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • I agree. You should see a doctor because even if you feel fine, you may still have something. Take care of yourself!
  • I'm sorry the comments are making your feel bad. I can imagine you are tired caring for an active 2 year old and infant. I hope you get some much needed rest.

This. How did your dr. appt go?

  • *hugs* Maybe you can getaway for a night. Possibly a Friday night stay at a nice hotel, sleep in, book a massage/facial & just relax until late afternoon/early evening saturday. I know it might be hard to stay away from the babies but you really need to take care of yourself first.

    YUP!

For everyone that said that you "look tired" let them take the kids for a day Sat/Sun and go have a spa weekend with a friend!

Take some time to take care of yourself, and see a DR and have your Thyroid checked too! Problems are soooo common in women, espically those who had a baby in the last year.

  • thanks ladies. I did go to dr on fri only to have him refer me to me obgyn because of the whole periods every 2 weeks. I finally got thru to my obgyn office today only to be told she is on maternity leave. So after another 10min of holding i was told I could wait until July 20th to see the nurse practitioner that is covering for her or see the other Dr (who I do not like) next week. I went ahead and made the appt for next week so I will have to wait until than.

going away for a weekend would be awesome. It won't happen but I can dream

  • I am so sorry. I am not sure what they want you to do. Esp if they aren't volunteering their time. I hope you get some answers from the doc.
