I'm going to become the mean neighbor- Our mailbox is at the end of the driveway in a group of 4 mail boxes. All the flags were up on all the boxes, and our mail was gone- DH doesn't check the mail- ever. & we have mail everyday- its very rare not to have mail. So, i try to put the flag down. it's stuck. I kicked it, it won't go down.So these stupid little girls coming riding down the drive way on bikes that are not theirs( the bikes are the other little girls that live in our neighborhood)- So i tell DH "someone has been messing with our mail, all the flags are up and our mail is gone"... he says "yeah the girls came over here & asked if i know a jennifer & chris" he says yeah thats me and my wife, stupid girl says "oh, here's your mail".... uhm excuse me? I'm sorry but i do not like these people as it is so this just really irritates me. The guy that used to live their died around thxgiving now his stupid daugther sits over there all day and does nothing but milk the system, and now she has some other gir living over there with her 4 or 5 kids.... i'm really annoyed. DH keeps saying "they are just kids"...okay so? they don't need to be in our mail....and what are they getting into while we are not home? We don't really have anything they would want but still.i don't know, it just irks me.... i'm thinking about leaving a note in the mailbox that says i'm going to call the cops if you get in our mail again- & now i'm going to get a PO Box. i'm paranoid I guess. They probably are 10 yrs old, but i dunno. i dont know how shady their mom or the other lady that live next door are.... yeah i'm a b*tch...i don't like those people though- they mom is suing the city we live in because she hit her head on the slide at the city pool...seriously ?? its the cities fault you are stupid?
ugh..i'm sorry i'm just incredibly annoyed...i'm really tired, and today was a really long day at work. then i drove to the school to drop off my application for my school program only to find out there was a 2hr wait and they weren't leting anyone else sign in to see an advisor- ..

It's a federal offense to take or tamper with someone's mail. Do you have a management company for your complex that you can file formal complaint with?
Under the circumstances, I'd probably consider getting a P.O. Box as well. How do you know they aren't rooting through it and taking pieces of importance? That can mess with a lot of things in your life, including your credit if you end up missing a bill.

exactly my point about them taking stuff- i am thinking about getting a po box.... i told DH i was really irritated and he kept saying they are just kids-... and as far as filing a complaint, we can go to our land lords but i'm not really sure what they would do. i m going to see if it happens again and then i'll say something to the kids & the land lords. and yeh i know its a federal offense, and that was why im going to tell the kids im going to call the cops...its just really irritating bc these kids have only been here maybe a month and b4 them we had NO problems what -so-ever...
