Hi Ladies!
I moved to NYC (Long Island City) in September from DC- the day after I got married- not recommended! I have been hanging out on the DC boards because I've been missing home but finally decided it was time to peep my head out here! 
Anyway! hello!
SO question-- DH and I are looking to take a weekend trip- probably 3-4 hours away? Would love any suggestions?? Areas, B&Bs, etc? (Just not any in LI please- have some family there, so that would be weird)

It's up near Warwick, only about a two hour drive. The inn keepers are the sweetest women you'll ever meet. And the breakfast is AMAZING.
Hello and welcome! Someone asked a similar question a few posts down, so you might want to check out the responses. I highly recommend Newport, RI. The B&B's are beautiful and it is such an amazing place to explore and relax. Have fun!

i'll be in the reverse boat next year (we're moving to d.c. after being in new york for almost ten years!)
anyway, i love lake george (about 4 hours) and rhinebeck (about 2 hours) for new york getaways. i also love newport (RI), especially in the off season when it's less crowded and summer for the beach.
