Hello nesties! DH and I are planning to drive from Omaha to KC this Sunday. We've never been, does anybody have any "must see" spots or other suggestions?
TIA!

Re: Visting KC...
Go to the Plaza - outdoor shopping area and lots of things to look at.
Are you going to do anything in particular? Do you know what area of town you will be in?
Royals or Tbones Game (baseball)
P&L District to walk around, shop, and/or go to the bars (it's brand new and pretty cool)
Gates BBQ by the Plaza (you MUST go to the one by the Plaza, it's so neat!)
Liberty Memorial and Union Station
Boulevard Brewery Tour (if you can get tickets, you might want to look NOW)
Hallmark Tour
...I'd suggest the Zoo but not since you're coming from Omaha ...
The Hallmark Visitors Center is awesome and FREE! It is closed on Mondays.
The Steamboat Arabia in the River Market is so interesting and a big part of Midwest and US history! It is a MUST SEE.
IN MY OPINION...I wouldn't go to Gates, it is not that good and DIRTY. Go to the nicer place, Jack Stack by Union Station. SO GOOD and nice.
Some of the best (my fave) places to eat that are unique to KC...La Bodega ..SO SO good, eclectic place...they have spanish tapas (appetizers).need reservations at night! and La Fu Frog (french, fancy, amazing and expensive...great wines!) it is in the River Market too.
The plaza is gorgeous and fancy for shopping. Go to Halls, the best store there.
Also, the new Power and Light is pretty neat, something different. Depends what you like, me personally, I can't take it much. Every once in a while, I guess I am getting old. ha
I think you can find all these attractions on the internet ....
HAVE FUN.
