Need a uniquely California gift
I have a friend who has done SO MUCH for me over the past few months and lives states away (where I own a home that she's been managing for me). She loves red wine, chocolate, & tea. I know CA has tons of wines but is there anything OUT OF THIS WORLD that I don't know about (I'm not a big wine drinker) and what about chocolate? I know ghirardelli is from CA but that's everywhere - I wanted something unique that you can't just go to Target and get.
How about Tea - is there any uniquely wonderful CA tea?

Le Palais de Thes has an outpost in Beveryly Hills. It's the only US store. The carry the finest teas...and have excellent "sampler" type gifts. It's not necessarily a CA product but it is unique since you can't get it else where.
My favorite uniquely (not readily available) CA wines are a chard from Frank Family Vineyard or Wolff Winery Teroldego (it's super yummy!).
The best chocolate that I've had is Pierre Marcolini... it's in NYC though, so it's not really Californian. But it is amazing amazing amazing.
There are so many wines to choose from. If you find out a particular wine she likes, maybe you could sign her up for a wine club.
