Re: Pizza near Mag. Mile?

  • I love Lou Malnati's!  Thre is one around Ohio and Wells.  Enjoy!Pizza
  • I LOVE Pizanos. They have great chicago pizza and homemade pastas. There is one on State Street and Chestnut. (Just 2 blocks from the Hancock building)

  • Giordano's stuffed spinach is my absolute favorite. ?If you visit their website you can see locations. ?There are a couple downtown.
  • Everybody's got their own opinion!  My rec would be Gino's East on Superior, about a block east of Michigan Ave.  Uno's and Due's are also real institutions - I think Uno's is supposed to have invented deep dish - and they're a few blocks west of Michigan Ave.
  • When people come to visit I take them to Uno or Due just off of Michigan. They are sister resturants with Uno being the first and Due just an expansion of the original (kitty corner).  Anyone that I have taken there has not be disappointed.  As pp stated they are Chicago Institutions.  I have also heard that Uno was there the deep dish was invented.

For everyday pizza closer to DH and I, we will do Giordonos or Lou Malnatis.   Lou Malnatis has been feature on the Food Network since they will freshly can their tomatos for the sauce in California.  They also have the fresh wisconsin cheese.  Their crusts are more buttery in taste.

Also Uno was featured on Top Chef Chicago.  Overall if you stick with the recommendations that the ladies have provided you can't go wrong.
