Sugaring

Tired of bad bikini waxing experiences...necessary but so painful.  Just wondering if anyone knows of or has been to a salon in Philly/South Jersey that offers sugaring?  I have not tried it yet but hear it's much more pleasant...anything to avoid the plastic gloves that stuck to my skin with each pass the last time I was waxed... ugh.

Re: Sugaring

  • I don't sugar but I do go to Body Restoration in Philly.  They do not use a traditional wax and muslin on the bikini area.  Instead they use a soft rubbery type wax that dries and gets peeled off by hand.  It is much more pleasant and has a minimal, if any, pain factor.  It is pricier than most salons charge for a wax but worth it IMO.
  • I've really got to try out Body Restoration. It's been a while for me, but no pain wax=tempting.

  • I've never done waxing but have been toying with going to Body Restoration for a while.
  • Nice...thanks ladies, I'll look into it. :)

This. And I'm pregnant! I was just there Tuesday, but last time I just found out I was expecting and was sick and not up for the drive to Philly. I went to Moments for regualar wax. Love Moments for many things, but what a mistake! It hurt, especially because of my added horomones. Once you go blue, you can't go back! (BR's rubbery wax is blue in color)
