185 mph, and lived! this made me giggle.

This story is insane. The guy is so stinking super lucky- DH has a motorcycle, and the fastest he's gone is 184-...OMG i know- the fastest he has gone w/ me on it...............150...lol...stupid? yes! fun? yes!

this was when we first started dating, after he had broken his ankle and he was better , and he had gotten his bike fixed-..it was also one of the first few times i'd ridden with him when i was stupid and fearless- now i'm scared to death. We haven't ridden in almost 2 years!...the bike just sits in our garage, its an 2001 Honda CBR 929 yellow & black...actually right now i think its torn apart bc i saw the plastics sitting in the carport- ...we are selling it- soon!

Re: 185 mph, and lived! this made me giggle.

  • me 2...well cringe then giggle. I have grown up with motorcycles and have grown to hate them.

My brother has one right now and has been in many accidents w/just himself but still scary...his friend flipped off his on a highway right in front of him so close my brother had blood on his bike.

Dont get me wrong the thrill from riding one is so much fun! I used to date a guy in Highschool, who was in college and had a bike, he would pick me up from school on it and I loved it, he was in school in Daytona, so we would go down there all the time and ride all around.....then he got rear ended sitting still and a red light and bye bye bike.

Dh wants one, I told him if I can get one to then its a deal...haha but I want him to get a harley.

  • LOL that made me cringe too.  Crotch rockets scare the bee-jeezus out of me.  Especially when they are doing stupid tricks and going 100 mph, i mean really?? is that necessary??  I would never let DH get a crotch rocket but I wouldn't mind getting a harley though, purple with silver flames, lol.

  • Motorcycles scare the crap out of me.  You wouldn't catch me on one of those things!!!

Agreed! I use to love when got to see all the cute guys on bikes when I was younger. The guy I dated...we still talk every now and then...they always liked the look at the girls on the back meanwhile the girls are all looking at the guys

  • yikes!

I am way to much of a wimp to ride motorcycles (that and I have seen a few too many people come through the ER with various terrible injuries from accidents on them).  But, my dad has one and it always makes me nervous when he's riding on it.

  • I hate motorcycles and luckily DH would never want one either.  My brother has been in many accidents and nearly died on one.  I just know too many horror stories.  My dad has a harley but doesn't even ride it now thank goodness.
