Hi there!

C and I are going to the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain tomorrow as part of her birthday weekend, and we were hoping to walk around and get some lunch in the area.  According to the map, it's in "Egleston Square" and is near the Stony Brook T stop.  We've never been to JP, so I was wondering if you knew of an area/street where there might be some places to eat and/or shops to browse?

Thanks!

  • My fav. is the centre st cafe.  Which is crazy as it seems on centre st.  This is where the majority of the cool shops and restaurants are.  There are a ton of ethnic restaurants too.  JP seafood has great sushi and of course JP licks (the original) for icecream.  There is a restaurant there called 10 tables which is supposed to be great (I think it is owned by the people who own centre st cafe) S and I were just there yesterday visiting our florist next door. It is on the expensive side and I don't think open for lunch but suposed to be really great also a bit pricey.  You can also walk to Jamaica Pond which is really pretty if the weather is nice.  Have fun!
