Hi Everyone,
I know I may get the "what took you so long" speach, but guess better late than never. I've been having some weird symptons for about a month already, but not wanting to be paranoid I ignored them. The symptons, are sudden blurred vision, headaches, dizziness. The blurred vision is so bad most times I can't see any words that are just a foot away from me. I've had to stop driving because I can't even see the cars in front of me correctly, and night time is even worse. All I see are blurred lights. Every time I get up I get really dizzy. At first I thought it was because I would get up too quickly. But it's not possible that it happens to be every single time, no matter how quickly or slowly I stand. Yesterday I finally decided I had to visit a doctor when I had to stand and I got so dizzy I lost all feeling and slowly fell to the ground. I was with my mil and dh. I didn't want to worry them, so I just told them there was something on the floor I wanted to get.smooth, right? lol Well, this scared the heck out of me, and today I was able to call a doctor to make an appointment and luckily since I know the girl at the front desk she squeezed me in.
Wish me luck. Has anyone ever experienced any of this?

Please do...we'll be thinking of you!
Oh my god! Yes, I have experienced things like that before. Some were related to very bad migraines, I experienced blurred vision/passing out when I was pregnant and dehydrated during the summer last year (super hot outside just like now), and the final diagnosis I received I do prefer to keep private due to my job, but you can email me kziemkowski@gmail.com if you want. Even though my health is 100% awesome and stable right now, I prefer to keep some things private.
I hope that everything is ok for you and I wish you luck at the doctor's office. I hope that they can find a diagnosis to get things cleared up very soon for you!!!

I haven't had the blurred vision thing, but I have had that exact dizzy feeling and the way you described it was perfect...slowly everything starts getting dark and it feels like you are falling to the ground in slow motion. That has happened to me a few times, usually when I get up out of bed too quickly, once after giving blood at a blood drive, once at the gym in the middle of working out, and a few times due to heat fatigue. But they've always been isolated incidents that happen once a year or so...never continuously over and over again in a few months/weeks. My doctor explained to me that these are vasovagal episodes and they are basically harmless. There's really nothing you can do to treat them except to avoid the triggers, which can be anything that I just named from my personal experience (getting up too quickly, giving blood, heat exposure, dehydration, etc.) and some other possible triggers too (look at the Wiki article I linked)
You are doing the right thing by going to the doctor. I really hope it's nothing serious and that they are able to tell you exactly what it is and how to fix it. Please keep us posted!
