AW: Dissertation Update
I just emailed my dissertation committee my prospectus (first three chapters of my dissertation) and am in the process of setting a defense date (hopefully July 10th). The joys of getting five different schedules to line up. 
Once this is defended, I can start my interviews and analysis.
My dissertation is titled: Competing paradigms for analyzing policy development in Everglades restoration: a case study using advocacy coalition framework and Habermas's critical theory.
My prospectus is 117 pages and represents the past year of my life. It was so weird holding a hard copy of it in my hands. My major professor says I am past the halfway point and my new goal is to defend the completed dissertation by this December so I can get hooded at the May graduation.

Thanks guys! I have a picture in my head of me walking across the stage, getting hooded, and hugging my major professor. I get chills just thinking about it.
I have confirmation from two committee members and am waiting to hear back from the other two.
Wow, we are super proud of you. And your work and dedication inspires the rest of the board, so thank you for that. It's great to see a friend make her dream a reality and reach her goals.
