Moving to Indy-please help
Hello! ?DH and I are looking to move to Indy to be closer to family. ?Does anyone have any job searching advice or know of any recruiters in the area? ?DH is a mechanical engineer with an MBA and many years of quality experience. ?I have a degree in HR and am currently a training manager for 5 locations and about 50 employees. ?Thanks so much for any help!?
Re: Moving to Indy-please help
You may want to try Roche or Eli Lilly for both you and your husband. You could also try the hospitals for training (Clarian, Methodist, Community).
Although when you do move- I'd love to talk with you about your training manager job. I work in Learning and Development myself and like hearing others experiences.
Lilly is officially on a hiring freeze right now, but they do occasionally do external hires. I know that there will probably be a few ME openings that will have to be filled in a few months, although I think Q may be harder to find. Regardless, I wouldn't count on Lilly.
They are building a new Nestle plant in Anderson, and I know they had an opening in training, if you want to apply there. I have the name of an engineering recruiter for your husband - I'll PM the info to you.
Thanks ladies so much! jennth, could you email the engineering recuiter's name at bfldevotee at gmail dot com?
I can give you the recruiter info for the guy that helps us at Aerotek. He could put you into contact with the right people that handle more engineering than environmental.
I would also check out Allison GM and Allison Rolls-Royce for YH. I know RR was doing some hiring recently, but I don't know about now. My dad does training for QA/QC for RR and I know he always has a full workload, so they might be hiring more in that dept.
A few other thoughts...
- Indiana State Government.. if there is an area of intrest they probably have something around it...
- Indiana University, all the universities basically
- Not sure where you are moving but there is the new Honda and Toyota plants in the southern part of the state.
- there are lots of little pharmacutical and medical appliance companies... Cook, Baxter, Texas Instruments, etc..
good luck!
