Can anyone tell me about Rock Springs??
Is it a nice place to live? What is it like there? What is the nearest big city?
Thanks for any info you can give...my husband has a job offer there and we are trying to figure out if we would like it there or not.

Hi! I live in Rawlins which is about 90 minutes from Rock Springs. Rock Springs is not a horrible place to be. It has a Wal-mart and a mall, which we don't where I live. I think that it is about 3 hours from the outskirts of Salt Lake City, UT. It has a very different layout due to the fact that the neighborhoods follow the location of the orginal coal mines in the area. I have heard good things about the high school, but don't know about any other levels. There is also a community college in town so I think that they have a lot of cultural events compared to some of the other towns the same size.
