We are coming up to visit my dad in Seattle next week. Last year when I was there I tried to take DH to the beaches in Washington, but they were not like I remember growing up. Long story short, I want to take him to Oregon for the bigger waves/ cliffs/ seals. How far south do I have to go for that? My sister told me Astoria, but the more research I do the more I think that is incorrect. We'd like to stay as far north as possible but any recs would be greatly appraciated.
Thanks!
Re: Travel advice, please!
My favorite place on the north coast is Cape Kiwanda, near Tillamook. It's like Canon Beach without the crowds.
The southern coast does have more cliffs, etc - but you can still have a fun and picturesque trip in the north coast and save yourself a lot of driving.
