I CANNOT stand Comcast. We've had them in other areas of the country, and always thought they had crappy service. Well, here in Orlando, we pay way more than we ever have for their service and we have a DVR that is so outdated and they don't know when they will be updating our area. We have a TON of problems and I'm just sick of dealing with it.
What other providers do you use and are they good? I already searched Verizon Fios (my first choice) and they don't have it here in the area yet. Anyone use DirectTV? thoughts?
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
Re: TV provider help needed!
I've had DirecTV for about two years now. To be totally honest, we didn't have any type of cable service before that, so I can't really compare to any providers, but so far, we've been very satisfied.
Our dish is mounted in a flower bed with some tall shrubbery, so every once in a while a branch gets up in there during a rain storm, but all we have to do is clear it or prune it when the rain stops, so for us it's not a big deal.
Otherwise, no compalints. GL with your decision! :-)
we have brighthouse for cable/internet. i am really pleased with them, i feel they have good customer service and are quick to respond for any calls. the one thing to keep in mind w/directv, which is dish, it rains a ton in FL, and when we rented we had dish, and would loose signal alot...so i didn't want dish when we bought our home.
We got Direct TV when we bought our house in Clermont. ?Before that we had Brighthouse and another company that was provided through the development we were living in at the time. ?I tell you what, I will NEVER go back to Brighthouse. ?We had nothing but problems with them from day one through the day we cancelled with them. ?It took them months to actually cancel our account and stop billing us for service we were not receiving. ?It was horrible.
Direct TV is a breeze. ?If we EVER have any problems (24 hours a day) we call them and talk to a live person that walks us through our problem and fixes it over the phone. ?Not to mention all the great channels and whatnot we get too.
Sure, if there is a really bad storm, you may lose your signal for a brief period of time but it's very rare for us and we are in the "mountains of Florida". ?(HAHA) ?In the years we had Brighthouse, we were without service for one reason or another a LOT more than we have lost our signal with Direct TV in the past 2 years.?
