What a weekend!

Before I write this I want to say that DH is just fine so I don't get anyone worried.

Bryan woke up feeling very nauseous Friday morning. He was puking uncontrollably and had a really bad headache. I ended up taking him to the ER because he's diabetic and I thought he was having some kind of diabetic situation.

After all of these tests, they finally determined he had gone into "a fib" which I understand is a heart condition where the atrium wasn't working the way it should. (Amber I'm sure you're familiar with this.)

They still don't know what caused it but he is fine now and got home last night. Things have been absolutely crazy. I spent the whole weekend at the hospital and at night I would drive out to my IL's to see Haley. Thank God for them, they watched her all weekend so I could be at the hospital with Bryan.

So that was our weekend from hell. But I'm so grateful that he's ok and home with us now!!!

Re: What a weekend!

  • Oh my gosh! How scary! I'm glad he's ok. Keep your eye on him. Husbands like to do things to make us worry :o)

  • Holy cow! Are the doctors going to follow up on that? It usually comes back if it happens once.

Yes, he is on three different medications (including Coumadin, however you spell it) and will be seeing a cardiologist from now on. Very scary, but I'm glad if it had to happen we got him to the hospital before something even worse went down.

  • I am glad he is doing better!  What a scary weekend.

  • That would be really scary!  I'm really glad that he's doing better.  Just keep an eye on him!

Having family around has it's benefits!

  • Wow! I am so glad that you took him to the hospital when you did. Thank God he is ok.
