What are your 4th of July plans?

DH and I are planning to head down to West Palm Beach with our friends for some beach condo action, but things might fall through (crosses fingers they don't!).  Anyway, since we may end up local for the holiday weekend I thought I'd see what's going on.  Any favorite spots for fireworks or other patriotic fun? :)

Re: What are your 4th of July plans?

  • We are having a block party in my neighborhood. ?I'm looking forward to it. ?Going out to Tampa to Phantom Fireworks on Friday to get some good ones!
  • My neighborhood does a big 4th of July party thing thing so we're going to that. (In Avalon Park, Orlando) Should be fun...it will be HOT though! :-)

  • We are going to New Smyrna Thursday and have to return on Saturday afternoon to spend the evening and BBQ with my FIL--it's his birthday!

Red Hot & Boom is fun. It's in Altamonte Springs, and it's free (minus food and drinks)!

  • We're having a small barbecue at home this year but we can usually see the Lake Eola fireworks from home so maybe we'll go out back and watch them.
  • We're boating on the Butler Chain on Friday. One of our friend is having a HUGE house party Firday night.

Saturday DH and I are having a BBQ at our house and were planning to either go down town and watch the Lake Eola fireworks or Universal.

Does Universal even do a fireworks show for the 4th?

I'm so excited for this weekend. July 4th is by far my fav. holiday... and the day DH and I got engaged!

  • My mom's birthday is the 4th and it is her 60th. We are staying at Disney's Beach Club for the weekend. We have some great dinner reservations and we will be done in time for the fireworks....we will get to see them all weekend!!! We are very excited!
  • We are going to the IL's in Virginia for the weekend - we live really close to Disney and see fireworks every. single. night so we're hoping for a firework-free weekend :) I'm just excited about escaping the Florida heat (and tourist crowd) for a few days!

  • We're hoping to get Rylie's new room ready for the carpet installation...we have to paint the chair rail and the baseboards and get the closet cleaned out.  Fun weekend for us!  Big Smile  I'm sure there will be a lot of swimming too.  We might meet up with some friends for fireworks in Sanford since we'll have a babysitter (my mom) around.

    Have fun everyone!

  • Going to goto Avalon Park's 4th of July celebration. We went last year and it was fun. WIll not stay for fireworks b/c my daughter is scared of them, but we will watch them from outside the house.
