Favorite Local Vaca Spots
Hi Ladies,
Well I am so excited that I now have 3 weeks in a row off!! I'm been going crazy since March!! Now that I have a well needed break I want to go somewhere fun this weekend with the family. I know it is last minute and I will be lucky if I find something with availability for this weekend or even next.
But please share with me your favorite B&B's, that may be kid friendly, or beach hotels, etc. that we could find!
Thanks!!
Re: Favorite Local Vaca Spots
Hey J! Our schedules are opposite--I have three weddings and one weekend off, so I've been busy all day prepping for them and making phone calls! You deserve a break though, especially with all that house-hunting you did!
We were just at Cape May last weekend and we love it there. It didn't seem as busy as past seasons, so you may be able to find some deals. They have a ton of historic B&B's which are a bit more pricey, but have some hotel options as well. You could even do Wildwood or Ocean City, NJ which are both nice.
Wherever you go, have a great time!
Like PPs have said, Cape May is a beautiful area - great beaches, lovely town, fun (and free!) zoo for your little one that's close by, neat little shopping areas (they have very "quaint" shops that are not your typical style), etc. We spend 4 days there every summer with MIL's side of the family. I will warn, though, that they do charge to get onto the beaches there - you have to have a beach tag, but they're pretty cheap. Lots of B&Bs and hotels in the area, right across from the beach (we use the Montreal Inn) and some that are sent farther back in the town, but still an easy walk to the beach.
We also do Rehoboth Beach for a week immediately preceding the CM trip, and we love Rehoboth, but it is much more of a touristy beach feel there - big boardwalk, free beaches, lots of beach houses and hotels near, outlet shopping. Just depends on what you're looking for.
GL deciding and enjoy yourself wherever you go - it sounds like you've certainly earned it!
... every single day of forever.
