XP: Alaska Must-See/Do Recs?
I already posted this on the travel board, but I thought I would ask here too. Any help will be appreciated! DH and I are planning a trip to AK for Aug 31-Sept 6. We will be primarily in Anchorage but are taking a day trip to Seward for a boat tour and then a day and a half trip to Denali to camp and sight-see there. Can anybody give us any other recommendations for the rest of our trip? We would prefer to stay kind of close to Anchorage the rest of the time (not more than a couple of hours drive). TIA!
Re: XP: Alaska Must-See/Do Recs?
Our State fair is going on that weekend I do believe its in Palmer a 30minute drive from Anchorage. Its nothing exciting ride wise, but everything else is a must see and taste! http://www.alaskastatefair.org/ Eklutna lake is a nice drive as well as Thunderbird Falls! Make she you eat out at Moose's Tooth if you like pizza, they are a brewery too! http://www.moosestooth.net/ Check out the Alaska Wildberry Products http://www.alaskawildberryproducts.com/
A nice walk along the Coastal Trails is nice too! If you want to get crazy you can even go to the Muskox Farm, or the Reindeer Farms in Wasilla....:) If you like Hiking there are tons of hiking spots too!
If you have anymore ? or anything feel free to email me folphotography@yahoo.com
