How to sell a car in PDX?

We're desperately trying to sell a nice '06 Jeep Commander for well under the KBB value.  We're posting constantly on craigslist, but there are just so many ads on there that I'm not sure it's even getting any hits!

Anyone know of other websites or places people in Portland look for private sale cars?  We don't need a second car anymore, so we don't want to trade it in to a dealership.

Thanks!

Re: How to sell a car in PDX?

  • Have you posted on autotrader.com?

Edit: Also, my DH runs a car lot and can tell you the current value that you can realistically sell it for, if you want to PM me the details on your Jeep.  My girlfriend drives an 07 and it's worth far less than she thought...

  • My husband has always put ours in AutoTrader. It costs money but it seems to do the job.
  • We bought ours from craigslist. We're looking to upgrade and will likely list our car there and look for a new one there. Weird you aren't having any luck, because when we bought our corolla last year, it was a seller's market. We kept missing out, and finally got our car by being the first to view it only a couple of hours after it posted. ...but DH has been watching truck ads and has said that they aren't moving...

  • Thanks!  I know about AutoTrader, but it had totally slipped my mind.  I'll post it there, too.

Jen-- it's an '06 Jeep Commander Limited.  We have priced it at $1500 more than what the dealership offered us for a trade in, but $3000 below the good private party KBB value, so I think it's an okay price.
