Good morning Ladies!
I wanted to share my wonderful news with my support group aka CFL nesties! I guess the 8th time was a charm, because the bank accepted our offer yesterday of $20k less from list price, and we will actually have a home within the next month or two!!! We ended up getting close to D-day so we had to sacrifice quite a bit, but at this point we just want a home to call our own! Overall I'm very satisifed with the home, and can't wait to start doing home projects/renovations! My "honey-do" list is growing quite large already! lol....
We ended up with a home in the lovely neighborhood of Beacon Park--it's not the same home we originally were looking at... that kind of fell through! It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage, built 2005 with 1,770 sq ft. We will need to paint and replace carpets in the bedrooms prior to moving in, but other than that--it is totally livable! Of course due to the lawn not being kept up we will have to re-sod the yard and do some landscaping that fits our personality and needs!
Re: Finally! We are buying a home!!!!
That's great! Congratulations!!! It must be a huge relief. You'll have to keep us all posted on the renovations and projects as you go! Enjoy the decorating and all the fun that goes along with homeownership
Congratulations Neighbor!
I'm so happy that you will finally have your new home. I was a little concerned on the last one because it looks like someone is now living in that house (lawn mowed, new sattelite dish up).
You will love it here, lots of younger couples, nice neighborhood, quiet.
Good luck on closing, keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything goes quickly and easy.
Jen
Congratulations! What part of town is that in?
Thanks everyone! I can't wait, and am praying for a prompt and smooth closing! We are suppose to be out of our townhome on 7/31 so we might be moving everything to our parents homes and staying with friends in case we don't close on time! I can't wait to start decorating and doing some small home improvement projects!
Jen--do you have the HOA rules/document? I'm interested to get more info on the HOA! I am in the first phase... so I don't think I'll be as close to you, but I'm on Victoria Falls Drive. Very interesting that it looks like someone moved into the home on Looking Glass Falls Lane... they were dragging ass on the process, and they had projected it to take up to 6 months before we could close! If you have HOA or any other stuff to share please e-mail me: ktbright7@aol.com
Ponder-ing whether or not to become a Viking's fan
Yes, it is a bank owned home--that's why we are able to move so quickly on it!
Beacon Park is located off of the 417 and Boggy Creek Rd. No more Nona it's kind of bitter sweet; we are finally getting a house, but not in the Lake Nona area... but it's close enough!
Wow! Congrats!! All of the bank owned homes we've looked at in the past couple months have been on the market for less than a week and end up going for over their listing price. How in the world did you manage to get one for 20k less?! Pass some of your luck over here. lol
Congrats!!! What an exciting time! Make sure you sign up for your Lowe's and Home Depot moving coupons so you can save on your improvements
Have fun!!
Just sent you an email (well four emails, there are a lot of attachments). Let me know if you have any questions.
Jen
It had been bank owned for 4 months, and that's why they took the lower price--plus it was a little over priced compared to the homes that were selling in the neighborhood with the same sq. footage.
Thanks KDS! I know--we're starting to look at everything and realize that ALL our money will be going into our home until its how we want it which will probably take a lifetime! lol...
