Visitor From MA - Myrtle Beach?
Hi!
I am visiting from the Boston board. My husband and I are thinking of going to Myrtle Beach over Columbus day weekend for our first anniversary. We have never been and would love some recommendations from you ladies for places to stay and things to do. Also, what is weather like during that time of year? Will it still be beach weather?
Thank You!
Re: Visitor From MA - Myrtle Beach?
It could be getting chilly by October, but on the plus side, you wont have to fight as much of the crowds.
There are just so many resorts to chose from, I would suggest picking what part of town you want to be in and then looking on Trip Advisor. We prefer North Myrtle beach or even staying farther away than that, but that's mostly to avoid SOME of the obnoxious crowds, you wont have as much of a problem with that in October though.
My friend and I like to go up to myrtle beach to do a girls weekend. Last time we went it was November. We go to hit up the outlet stores. We stayed at the Dunes Village Resort in an Oceanfront Queen suite for about $90 a night. This is on the North side. I am not sure how close restuarants and bars are to walk too. We just brought a bottle of wine to share while chatting on the balcony watching the water and the crazy people going swimming in the night. I don't know if it will be beach weather in October. There is the possiblity it will be on the warm side of 70. I know in November there is no way we would have ventured in the water.
