Gown Preservation / Cleaning
Hi!
Married a little over two months ago and thought I would transition over to this board, the few times I posted here while planning, everyone was really helpful.
My question of the day. My gown is silk satin organza and I am trying to figure out where to take it in the area to get cleaned/preserved and what method I should use. The shop I got it from is no help and I already tried the designer and got no help there. Really scared of those methods that seal it in a box. Any thoughts or words of wisdom out there? Suggestions of a place in the Lancaster area would be really helpful!
Thanks!
Re: Gown Preservation / Cleaning
Welcome!
My dress was silk with a lot of bedding so I researched the cleaning methods that different cleaners used to decide where I wanted to get it cleaned and preserved. I ended up using a place in VA so that wouldn't help you too much, but my advice is to ask about procedures.
