Federer

is a jerk! He never really seems like he appreciates the win. I was rooting for Roddick the whole time Sad

Re: Federer

  • And Roddick was any better by b!tching that Federer had already won 5 times?

Roddick was always the maverick bad-ish boy, and is only now starting to mature.

  • what should he have done - jumped up and down and rubbed it in Roddicks face? that wouldnt have scored any points either.  I always believe that Federer is a true gentleman and loves the sport of tennis.  when he wins, he appreciates each and every one (and there have been a lot) No one ever roots for him, they always root for the underdog.

  • I was routing for Roddick for a change and because he had played so well during the whole tournament, but I don't think Federer acted poorly.  He is stoic and Roddick has always had more drama and worn his emotions on his sleeve.  You can't fault Federer for being more even keeled.  Of course I love Pete Sampras and he had the same personality.

  • I like Federer and it's definitely exciting that he's breaking all these records, but I really wanted Andy to win. Wimbledon has been a title that eluded him for a long time. Winning against Federer would have made it even sweeter.

Overall they both played an excellent game though. I almost wanted them to call it a draw. They were both playing like true veterans of the sport.
