How was everyone's weekend?
Mine was good! We hung out Friday with friends at our house. Saturday, we drove up to N Jersey and went to a friend's bbq. Yesterday, we hung out at the pool then had a "no tv date night" at home, which was actually a lot of fun!
I am home today bc it is my first off Monday of the summer! I am planning on doing a good cleaning of the house, laying by the pool and going shopping for a dress for my friend's RD on Friday.

We had a good weekend all around. Friday I hung out with MIL all day while my H got his stepdad out of the house for a while. My parents came and helped me out. I feel so lucky that they get along so well with my in-laws and are willing to help out now that MIL is sick.
Then we started car shopping on the 4th. I hate car shopping but H loves to wheel and deal so it's interesting. But there are some good deals out there right now! We might be coming home with something tonight...
Good Morning Ladies! Best 4th of July EVER!
Friday Greg had work, but his parents had an evening bbq which worked out perfectly for our schedule. We drove to the shore after the bbq and avoided all traffic.
Saturday we spent on the boat. We beached it on a sandbar, swam around with the dog and got plenty of sun. After that we went crabbing, came home and had a feast. Crabs, shrimp & filet, we rushed to get everything cleaned up and head back out on our larger boat.
My entire life I have asked my dad to take us out on the ocean to watch the fireworks. This year was the perfect storm of tides, winds, people and timing and we actually went. You could see from Margate to Stone Harbor, it was amazing. Bucket list ladies...bucket list!
Yesterday was just leftovers at my cousin's house and a ride on the motorcycle. My parents hare having a very tough time right now, so I was a bit bummed yesterday for the most part. After the perfect 4th, Sunday turned into abit of a nightmare on that aspect.

I had a great weekend! Friday night the hubby and I and some friends went to the Tropicana for drinks and dancing at Firewaters.
Saturday we laid by the pool at our condo, went to a BBQ and then went to see the fireworks at Borgata.
Yesterday we went to the beach and then just relaxed the rest of the day/night.
Mrs. Kapow, don't know if you're trading in a car and what year it is, but their is a bill in the works called Cash for Clunkers where you can trade in your old car (has to be a certain year and only get a certain amount of MPG), and the dealership gives you a nice rebate. It's worth waiting on if this fits your situation.. jut an FYI: http://www.cars.gov/

What a terrible revelation for your friend. I hate when bad things happen around holidays, it's like a constant public reminder of the event. I'm glad you were able to be there for your friend and support her during this whole ordeal. That's exactly what true friends are for.

We looked into it and were all excited about it until we realized the dealer has to agree to junk the car to get it off the road so you have to choose between either the govt credit (approx. $3500) or your trade-in value. For us, the trade-in is a couple thousand more. But it's a GREAT option for people whose cars aren't going to be worth much in a trade.

Afternoon ladies.
This weekend we had some friends over on the fourth for a BBQ. Two of the friends we invited got all pissy because we didn't tell them that they weren't the only people we invited. I told them to get over it.
We fixed our floor on Sunday and went food shopping.
And now I'm back at work. YAY ::sarcasm::

Our weekend was great.
Friday we went to the Phillies game with my BF and her H. We tailgated and really enjoyed the game. We came home to discover that our wedding DVD was delivered!!!
Saturday we went to Ocean City. We spent the day on the beach, our cousins took us to dinner at Cousins, then we saw the fireworks and got dessert on boardwalk. We got home super late, but managed to enjoy our year old cake.
Sunday I saw My Sister's Keeper and then we went to church.
