What Sun Tan / Sun Block do you use?
Hi ladies!!! This weekend we were out on the boat alllllllllllll weekend, Fri - Sun and now I am soooooooooooo burnt!!! This has never happened to me, I think the sunblock was expired.
1. What Suntan do you use to get a little tan?
2. What sunblock to you use?
3. What do you use to put on once you are burnt? Aloe vera, Vitamin E?
Thank you so much, Your fellow lobster looking knottie LOL.

Re: What Sun Tan / Sun Block do you use?
i normally put on spf 50 and i still get tan using it. but, i put i on 30 min before i get in the sun AND i reapply ever hour or so. even waterproof stuff needs to be reapplied because it's defenses break down after some time.
i usually use Aveeno or Neutrogena- I find that they're the least oily and goopy- and I usually use the spray on one
I NEVER use suntan oil!! it completely negates what the sunblock does! it's so bad for your skin :-/ It's basically frying your skin.
For burns, though, take 2 tylenol (for the pain) and they sell an aloe gel with lidocaine in it. It not only cools the area, but it numbs it as well! The tylenol will help reduce the swelling and prevent you from getting a fever (which can happen if you get too burned.)
Thank you.. I never thought about tylenol.. that is great advice!!
OMG, Sunoil is so bad, people really need to realize that fries your skin.
I usually buy the can that is spf 50 that sprays one, its the blue botttle.. I forgot the name. and for the hb I buy him the spf 70.
Today Im going to go to target and buy a new aloe, our ran out last night. Im going to look for the one with Lidocaine.
Thank you Britishbride!!

Exactly what BritishBride said.
I prefer the Aveeno one and I usually get the highest SPF I can find when I'm going out in the sun. And of course, REAPPLY REAPPLY REAPPLY!! I use the Aveeno facial sunscreen w/ moisturizer on a daily basis too.
Aloe works great for burns!! I usually put the bottle in the freezer for a few minutes before I put it on burns because the cooling sensation really soothes your skin.
Kiss my Face for the entire family. DS uses it on his body and then I use California Baby Stick on his face.
Kiss my Face has less chemicals so I am thankful for that for my son etc.
Daily though I use Aveeno facial moisturizer w/sunscreen- that is just a daily routine.
and as the above says- reapply etc.
I use fresh aloe for burns or something that is similar in a bottle, but has mostly real aloe in it, not other stuff.
thanks again ladies! I think our blocks were expired. this was the first time we have even burnt in the sun. we are always out on the boat.
I just went to target and bought new sunblock spf70 for this weekend. and cream with vitamen E as well.
Mhhh, Im going to have to buy the dialy cream this week. that is great with sunscreen
