FHA 203K loan with Violations?

Ok, so the house that we were originally interested in has just called us that they will accept the FHA 203K loan (YAY) so that we can fix the code Violations (NAY).So we just called the city and are waiting to hear back from them to see what exactly are the violations.

BUT.... will FHA allow a house with Violations? I just emailed the lender, but want to hear someones experience with this type of loan?The house does have appliances, and is livable (somewhat). Will it pass inspection?

This is the house with the strip pole in the middle of the living room and hidden rooms, with the pool and lake. It has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of TLC... A LOT.

  • Sorry, I'm not much help since we got a regular FHA loan, but I think whether or not the house will pass the FHA inspection depends on what types of violations there are. For example, if the roof doesn't pass inspection, I don't think the 203k loan will go through. Other violations might be OK, though, if they aren't too serious and don't affect the livability of the house. Good luck!
