I had some more bleeding today and I'm scared out of my mind. Ultrasound is scheduled for Wednesday, and I am still hopeful, but I'm completely scared too. I even started thinking about what I would want to do if this pregnancy failed...

This sucks, and I hate being a debbie-downer, but I don't know who else to tell. 

I'm ready to go to sleep and wake up in the second trimester.

I am so sorry. Hopefully it is something totally benign like a subchorionic hematoma. I had one with the boys (was in the ER at 12 weeks with very heavy bleeding) and then went on to have an uneventful pregnancy.  I have 2 friends who have had them as well and had severe bleeding and went on to have healthy little girls.

((hugs)) I'm sorry Meegs.  I imagine it's a very scary time right now and rational thoughts are not easy to always entertain.  I'm glad you have an u/s soon so hopefully you can get some answers.

Meegs, just be careful and take it easy. I had bleeding at 11 weeks for no apparent reason. It was bright red so I freaked out and called the doctor at 1 AM. I went in the next day, heard the heartbeat and everything was cool. I was told to take it easy, no sex (orgasms stimulate contractions which can cause bleeding) and put my feet up.

 

It's really common during early pregnancy to get some bleeding. I will be thinking about you. I'm sure everything is fine. Don't think negative thoughts. You don't want to stress you or the baby out any more. It's not good for either of you. Can you see if your Dr. can you see you sooner?

I actually picked Wednesday for the appointment before this second round of bleeding... since its not my actual doctors office that does it, its the local radiology center. Wednesday is their day with late appointments, and that is the only way Trav can come... and no matter what the result is, I definitely want him there.

Hang in there Meegs!  It's great that Trav can be there...hopefully it is just a hematoma (it IS weird to type that) or some first trimester normal stuff.
