TGIF!!! Friday morning stuff
Good Morning Ladies!!!
What are your plans for this weekend/next weekend-Memorial Day?? Anything exciting??
DH & I are going to see Jeff Dunham tonite with a friend of ours. Tomorrow it'll be yardwork and stuff around the house-after I get back from my Zumba class in the morning. Sunday it'll be finishing up Saturday stuff and just relaxing.
Memorial weekend we're headed to Oak Island, NC for a great beach weekend!!! soo excited!!!
Re: TGIF!!! Friday morning stuff
SO is having knee surgery right this very minute, so probably his weekend will be full of medication and sleep, plus a little hobbling and mine will be spent parked on the couch beside him, trying to be all caretake-y. I think we've got friends coming in Memorial day weekend...
I'm late on this but I'll chime in!
DH's birthday was Friday but he is sick so we didn't do much, just relaxed together mostly... today we got up and went to the bank to start the process of getting approved for a mortgage to buy our first home!!! It was a long and traumatic experience, anyone interested can read my post on Buying a Home.
We spent the rest of the day around then dowhouse since DH still feels lousy.
Tomorrow we have church and then we're going to a couple open houses.
Depending on what we find out from the Mortgage Officer on Monday, my parents may come next weekend and look at some of our favorite houses to give us a second opinion.
Have a great week!!
We're looking around the woodruff road area. We did see a house in the 5 forks area though this weekend during the open houses.
We have met with a guy from Bank of America but we're running into some problems with the mortgage because I'm self employed technically... i'm like a permanet contractor for a company and I have a contract for 40 hours a week etc... i'm just not technically an "employee." but because of that my income doesn't count AT ALL because I haven't been there 2 years so we're starting to look into some creative financing.
For the love of all that is holy, I understand why they have strict guidelines when it comes to how much money they are loaning, and to whom they loan, but crimany, if my salary counted we could get approved for a $300,000 home, yet we just want a $150,000 home with 20% down and we can't get the loan w/out my income... grrrr.
First of all, YAY for looking in the Woodruff Rd/5 Forks area-that's right up the road from us!!!!
Second, that stinks that you are having issues with BOA. I agree with you completely that it's overly complicated-in our particular cases that is. Hopefully things will get straightened out soon. Don't forget, if you need to blow off some steam, give me a buzz!! :-)
Take care and keep me updated!!
