Okla Nestie coming to St. Louis
My DH and I are meeting some friends from Wisconsin in St. Louis at the end of the month. July 30-Aug. 2. We are trying to find things to do and a hotel to stay at, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions. Honestly...we just want a hotel with an outdoor pool. We figured it would be hard to get Cardinals tickets now for 6 people. So we have heard that the zoo is great! It would be good if we were around shops and bars. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Okla Nestie coming to St. Louis
what area will you be in? that will help give more precise suggestions....also, for adults, or will you have children with you?
also, i'd check into the cardinals tickets.. i bet you can still get them! Check stubhub.com too.
Hope you enjoy your visit!
The cardinals "used" to have this, not sure if they still do, but if you go downto the stadium in the morning and put your name in (I think it's pretty cheap?) you get your tickets later on in the day they can be anywhere from standing room, upper deck, or right behind home plate, you never know until you arrive later...
I'd also try stub hub.
Zoo is fun
Maybe a tour of the brewery?
A small distance from STL you can visit different wineries
The Delmar loop is a nice afternoon/evening activity
The Chase-Park Plaza has an outdoor pool. It's in the Central West End, and it's an awesome hotel. It's a tad pricey, though--probably $200/night or more for a room.
The Frontenac Hilton also has an outdoor pool and is located really close to shopping (there's a mall right there) and some restaurants, but it's in more of a "ritzy" area as opposed to a "hip, fun" area.
I'll keep thinking and see if there are any other hotels with outdoor pools I can think of!
