should be at The Price is Right. just sayin.
My mom is a total game show watching freak, and it actually looks pretty fun. We could wear matching shirts and everything.
Re: our next gtg
i always wanted to do this, but i hear you do a whole lot of waiting around and don't necessarily get in to the studio for the taping. i don't have time for that.
They had a "baby shower" show that someone posted on the baby boards. I totally thought about trying to go, but yea, I heard the same thing. Sitting around, waiting. Nothing gaurenteed.
H went with some friends about 6 years ago, when Bob Barker was still the host. They waited hours in line and didn't get in.
If any of you read Diabolina's blog, Mr. D won a hot tub on The Price Is Right many years ago. He made and wore a "Bob Barker for President" t-shirt.
He is so tall that, when he was jumping up and down, you couldn't see his head on the screen.
I went with a bunch of friends and my sister during my senior year at UCLA. My sister was one of the 4 contestants originally called down to contestants' row. She won a year supply of Alavert, luggage, and a Chevy Cavalier- true story. The problem is, if you don't want to keep the car you win, you end up getting hosed on the taxes. I tried to help her sell the Cavalier for 4 months. No one wanted to buy the darn thing. It had a retail value of $15,000, and after it was sold to a dealership and she paid all the taxes on her winnings, she wound up with about $2k.
Similar thing happened with a good friend of mine. Except it was a nine foot grandfather clock that was worth almost $10k, living room set, a motorcross bike and a jeep... he won the showcase showdown. He got screwed on the taxes and ended up owing for 3 years. He tried to sell everything, but couldn't get rid of the clock.
LMBESQ - your daughter is adorable and I love the onesie. Where did you get it from?
My grandma won a BBQ in the early 90s. She kept it.
It's a sticker that you just slap on a onesie.

dude, you could make those easily (and cheaply) at home with some labels from staples and your printer. but then i guess time where you have two hands free to do it is something baby mamas don't have a ton of.
Tater: I was just thinking that! I'm pretty sure they are made by some SAHM and her whole clientele is from the nest. I should have thought of it first!
totally! this is a cute, cheap gift idea to throw in with other stuff, since i know lots of people expecting.
And thanks for the kind words about the little one. We're pretty fond of her
