Pet Sitter or Boarding Recommendation

I was hoping that someone in the Harrisburg or York area would be able to give me a great pet sitter or boarding recommendation for our Scottish Terrier. We're planning to go away for a long weekend next weekend (17-19) and Bentley can't come along. I'd prefer a kennel or other boarding situation rather than having someone come to the house. My sister usually pet sits for us, but is unable to for this weekend and I'm really cautious about leaving him with someone else.

 Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check out Morgan's Paws (www.morganspaws.com). I'm not sure if they will be able to get you in because they have to do an evaluation first, and then they like to have the dog there twice for daycare before boarding, but they seemed like they were willing to work around that. They are in York.

I take my dog to Greenlin Kennels. They have one in Middletown and one in Mechanicsburg.   They have a dog pool and everything.  Midnight loves it there, he comes home exhausted from playing with all the other doggies.

They also have a dog pool... which is awesome because we take our dogs to, they have a day care which boarding dogs go out and play with the day care dogs. It is a great place.

We take our dog to Greenlin kennels in Middletown too!  I take him to the doggy day care program a couple times per week. He loves it!  I haven't used it to board him overnight, but I would have no qualms about doing that.  I really like the people that work there.  They even offered to keep our dog for free as long as I needed to when I had the baby!

I dont know anyone in that area, but you may have to take your dog to the vet to get vaccinated for something called kennel cough. The first (and only time I had to kennel shyann, I had to make a special appointment just for that.

I live in Carlisle and board Trixie at the vet.  It's not overly expensive ($16 a night) and I know she's well taken care of.  They even let her hang out in the office sometimes.  Check with your vet and see if they board also.

Sister in law works at Oscar's Pet Resort in Lancaster, but it's a little on the pricey side ($36/night). I'm not sure how much you are looking to spend, but this place is pretty luxury.  Site is http://www.oscarspetresort.com/index.asp.
