Weekend Plans?
Are you doing anything exciting this weekend? I know it's only Thursday, but I'm just pretending that the workweek is over already...

My IL are coming into town.
Fri - We'll just hang around the house, play outside with the kids, grill out.
Saturday - We are doing a Duck Tour of DC (kids are so excited) and that night we're going to an area of town that has tons of restaurants, fountains for the kids to play in, and live music.
Sun - We're going to Cracker Barrel (at the kids' request) for breakfast. No idea what we'll do later than day.
It is supposed to get hot. BLECH.
You are so good at finding fun stuff to do in DC. I'm such a lazybones in comparison.
This weekend we're going to New Orleans for a huge family reunion. It will be E's first time meeting most of my far flung extended family as they are kinda crazy or intolerant and either chose not to come to the wedding or were not invited. I'm excited to see my cousins, who are awesome and to have E meet my qu33r aunt and gay cousin. Sadly, they're semi-closeted. I and a cuckoo for cocoa puffs bisexual aunt are the only out ones.
I'm bi too, so I'm allowed to make fun of her.
A lot of it has to do with having the kids. We ocassionally did fun/different stuff pre-kids, but now we are always looking for things to do to entertain them/us. If you are ever looking for ideas (that we did pre kids) let me know. I have some.
she has to work all weekend, unfortunately. or maybe fortunately since it's overtime and that's few and far between right now--plus she worked all week when almost everyone else has been off. so she'll be working overnight and sleeping when she gets home.
my goal is to get all of the wood trim for the bathroom finished this weekend so we can put it up. we got the doors done and up, and this is pretty much the last thing to do other than hanging towel rings and that sort of thing. we need to finish this room so we can move on to other projects! there are a few other things i'd like to try to get done, but if i can just finish the wood i will be soooooo happy. i'm hoping i can convince my sister to come over and hang out...and help, of course!
Tonight - checking out the little fair in the center of town. then just rest & relax
Tomorrow - A's working and i'll clean the house, run errands, ect. i'm also hoping to pick my first batch of blueberries
Sunday - Helping a friend from my local board with her garden - in exchange she's letting us take home a bunch of plants she's digging up. Following that we'll work on our own yard for a bit.
overall, its really going to be a very quiet weekend.
