DS had his yearly testing today on his kidneys and if I thought it was bad when he was 6 weeks old, it is nothing compared to the fact that he now understands what is going on.
How do you explain to your 2 year old why you are helping to hold them down while someone puts an I.V. into their hand? All he wanted me to do was make them stop hurting him
At least it's over, for at least another year and hopefully forever.
Re: What a day....
Poor bub! That must've been very hard. I can't imagine his cute little face as he went through that.
Aww, that definitely would classify as a rough day, I hate seeing the wee ones in pain. I hope this is the last one he has to go through.
oh my... I am totally afraid of IVs myself, so I can't imagine having to watch it happen to my son. that must have been so tough.
For yours, and his, sake, I hope it is done forever!
Oh I'm sorry Heather... it's so hard watching kids go through treatment like that. Maybe it will be better when he's a few years older and he can understand what they're doing and why it's important.
Thanks for the support ladies.
I just hate the fact he looked at me and asked why I was letting them hurt him. He as such a trooper but still I don't like it at all.
