a poll. because i need some distraction.

i've been trying to clean my offices lately. both of them: one at home and one at work. it's been a daunting task to say the least. so...[Poll]

  • I couldn't do 2 answers but my desk typically looks like a tornado hit it. It is a mess and looks really unprofessional (although I was recently told that it makes me look busy. Ha.)  Then every few months (aka today) I get really sick of it and go through the piles then feel so much...lighter...when I can see my desk pad.  I am in the process of going through it as we "speak" and I am starting to see a light. I find good music helps the process.

    I don't have a desk at home.

  • My desk at work is type-A psycho organized. Everything has a place.  The only time papers are out is when i'm working on them that moment. people make fun of me for this (and joke that i dont have enough work to do - ha!)

at home its a crazy disaster. piles upon piles. the only saving grace is that its a small desk with two computers on it so there's not that much room for junk.

lol! that's pretty much what i meant by the massive cleaning option.

this is actually how i'm spending my workday today. Embarrassed

  • I've had "OMG clean hideous desk" as an item on my work to-do list all week. But there is always something more pressing to do. I usually only clean it on the Friday before I take some time off (vacation, holiday, etc.) because I've necessarily cleared the projects off my plate by finishing them or delegating them and I have a few hours to fill at the end of the day before I take off. Which means that my desk will be clean again right before Thanksgiving - depressing thought! :)
