Does anyone know anything about doing this? We are ripping out our disgusting above ground pool and surrounding deck.
I am in O'Fallon MO if that helps
Re: Renting a dumpster
I'd check around at the hardware stores (lowes, home depot) i'd also contact your trash company and see if they do it as well.
My grandmother did it (uncle from out of town set it up) to clean out her basement that had flooded (everything got wet) and it was several 100s. Side note, she lives in a very, um, well to do neighborhood, and some neighbors were dumptster diving in the middle of the night. There wasn't anything worth getting, but FYI it happens.
One of our neighbors has a dumpster in their driveway. I saw another neighbor rooting through the trash and pull out some type of hose or cord. I would have to laugh if someone went diving in our dumpster. All they will find is wood, rock, concrete, and a disassembled pool.
That said, I really don't want people up on my driveway going through my stuff. It will drive my high strung dogs completely nuts. Hopefully we get most the demo work done before the dumpster arrives so we can fill and haul away rather quickly.
