who's up for a gtg?

soooo as you all know, i just moved to the area last week and DH and I are starting to get settled in (well we have our kitchen all unpacked at least!)...

and i've also noticed some new girls to the board recently...

so i'm thinking it's time to plan a gtg...i don't know anyone from the area at all except for another girl i met on the pets board...and i still have yet to meet her IRL...so it'd be great to start meeting people!

so...maybe we can take a poll here to see who all is interested...and of those interested what days/locations work best..then we can solidify a date/location?

who's in? and do weeknights of weekends work better? any specific days you prefer?

where should we meet? downtown, sw, se, or another area?

do we want to get dinner?

other thoughts?

Unfortunately, I was recently laid off, so ALL dates/times are open for me. I'll let you guys decide there Dinner sounds good, and lunch/brunch too. Some of us are new moms (Hi Jen!) so lunch might be better for them.

What about Zao noodle bare in Bridgeport village or California Pizza Kitchen? Both are pretty casual and yummy. I'm excited, this will be fun!

i have no job yet so i'm free anytime/any day as well i'm pretty much desperate to get out there and do something at this point so i'm up for whatever!

cheesecake factory sounds amazing and that's super close to my house! i'm totally fine with happy hour and if some want to eat and some just want to drink that's fine by me i'm so not picky so i'm up for anything!

Lets do a CK factory HH. That way Kristin and can participate and we can all decide if we just want to drink/snack or actually have a meal. I think that works for all of us? I'm looking forward to meeting those of you that I haven't already!

They do happy hour Mon-Fri ONLY from 4-6pm.  No happy hour on Saturday.

But yes, Saturday 8/1 at 4:30 sounds great to me!!

Kristin, they do have a new 'small eats' menu with lots of yummy selections that arent pricey. We can make our OWN happy hour!

haha thanks no worries i totally understand and i think it's awesome actually. back when i was on the knot, my local board RIPPED my IRL friend and i apart once they found out we knew each other...i don't know what the heck it was but it was so dumb. i don't care, i was just curious i'm just excited to meet new people!!! but you did make me feel better..(always hard to go somewhere when everyone already knows each other) thank you!

Aw that sucks about your IRL friend.  Stupid knot/nest drama.  Anyway, all the Portland nesties are so cool that we all get along great.  I'm friends with a few IRL, but it's not "cliquey" at all.  We're fun.
