Furniture Store

Anyone have any recommendations for affordable furniture stores in the area?

Thanks!

Re: Furniture Store

  • Also, is Raymour & Flanagan overpriced?
  • We bought our bedroom set at Somnia in Marlton.  We had originally puchased it at Levitz then saw it the next day at Somia for $500 less so we cancelled our original order at Levitz and re-ordered it there.  We love it and it is good quality.

We purchased a table set from American Signature in Mt Laurel.  It was very affordable, but it isn't as good quality, IMO, as other stores.

  • We bought our Living Room and Den furniture from Raymore and Flannigan.  I dont think they are overpriced.  The quality is excellent and we have been very happy with both Sets!  GL!
  • We bought our living room at Mealey's when we first bought the house and absolutely love it. This past year we finally bought our dining room furniture from them as well. I find their quality to be great and shopping their sales helped us save over some of the other chains. I also really liked the people who work there. Some other places were very pushy and we felt like they were stalking us as we browsed through the store. At Mealey's, they definitely didn't let us get too far out of their sight but we didn't feel stalked. They gave us space to compare things & talk it over.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • Don't use Jennifer Convertibles.  I bought my couch there and they ripped me off for delivery and then didn't deliver for a month.  The couch is already starting to fall apart at one of the seams in the wood on the chaise lounge part of the sofa.  POS!
  • I love Ashley Furniture. All of our furniture is either from Ashley furniture or Raymore and Flannigan. I don't think either of them are over priced and they both offer great quality stuff.
  • Ashley and R&F both have beautiful things. I've heard that you can bargain prices with them.. dunno if this is true, but it's what I've heard. We got our newest couch and love seat set at Doughty's in Clayton. We saw the same set for several hundred more at R&F. We had to wait longer for it to be delivered, but it was worth saving the $.
  • Ashley is awesome for sales and mailing out major  (read: 50% off) coupons.

They are franchises and some locations are much better than others. It's totally worth the drive to the Vineland & Northfield locations, they're 100x's better than the Turnersville location.

  • Our bedroom set is from American Signature and I'm very happy with it.  Our dining room set is from Diamond.  It's definitely not last-forever-pass-it-down high quality, but it was ridiculously inexpensive, came with 6 chairs and has held up to 3 rowdy kids so I'm pleased.
  • With the housing market being so bad......furiture stores are hurting and very willing to negotiate......My sister and another friend of mine who recently moved got some GREAT deals this way!
