Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Anything exciting in store for this week?

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Very nice weekend, saw two great movies - The Hangover and Public Enemies, went to a bridal shower, farmer's market, got in some good training (spinning + running). This is going to be the busiest week of the summer for us, I think -

    1) we're selling our treadmill (a huge production because it's so heavy and we have narrow, steep stairs)
    2) I have tons to do at work
    3)  it's a heavy triathlon training week because next week is taper and we have a race on Aug. 2 (so 9 workouts, long swims, etc.)
    4) we have houseguests Thurs-Mon
    5) our re-wedding party is on Saturday, and I still have to put the catering order in, figure out drinks, buy paper goods etc. for the party, figure out music, make a hair appointment, and clean the house

  • we had a good weekend, but it was busy. she worked the whole weekend. i got most of the wood finished for the bathroom, though. i have 5 boards left, but i should be able to get that done tonight which is awesome!

we also managed to get some shopping in on saturday. she bought her first maternity pants/shorts which she wasn't thrilled about, partly because she doesn't really need them yet--but she will soon and they were really discounted so we figured it was a good idea.

sunday we went to her team's softball game and hung out for a while after with folks. she's not playing this year so it's only the second game we've made it to with everything else going on. she doesn't enjoy going to watch nearly as much as she does playing so that's been a factor, too.

  • We had a very nice 3 day weekend visiting C's family in PA.  We did half the drive on Thursday, and stayed at a hotel that turned out to be really nice (especially for what we paid!), where we got to take a dip in the pool and have a yummy free breakfast.  We had a very nice time just relaxing with C's parents and got to visit quickly with her brother too.

Tonight we're going grocery shopping because the cupboard are BARE!  And then we are just going to enjoy C's first week of the summer with no grad school classes - she's off now until September!  I'm looking forward to a much less busy week than we've become accustomed to lately.  Though the break is brief, as our weekend seems to filling up rapidly!

  • Our weekend was really quiet and boring. It consisted of running errands, watching crappy movies, and making some yummy food.

  • Our weekend didnt turn out quite as quiet as we were expecting (it never does w/ Andrea). Friday night we went to a semi-pro baseball game w/ my parents.  We were supposed to see fireworks after the game but because the game went so long (11:30!!), they couldnt do the fireworks due to a sound ordinance. bummer.  Saturday Andrea worked and I cleaned, then we went berry picking (blueberries and raspberries), watched my cousin's little league game, and went into Hartford to watch fireworks.  And sunday we got a ton of plants from a friend which we replanted in our yard, went for pedicures, and met up with friends for dinner and mini golf.  It was a great summery weekend :)

This week is super hectic with various things going on every day after work.  blech. its got me wishing for the weekend again!

  • Friday was my day off (I get every other Fri off), and I went bra shopping (my least favorite activity EVER). I spent 4 hours going through 5 stores and only found one ill-fitting bra. Ugh.

We had a pretty easy-going weekend. Saturday Sylvia worked on her dissertation (yay!!), so I got to take many naps and just generally lounge around the house (double yay!). Sunday we went to church as usual (though even after all those naps I still had to drag myself out of bed), and then came home and cleaned the house. I think I might have snuck another nap in Sunday afternoon, too. Embarrassed

This week is going to be busy. Lots of work to get caught up on, and a Thursday beta that is distracting me from said work. Smile

  • Carol worked all weekend so other than a Costco run and a trip to Target for diapers nothing was too exciting.

This week we have a lot to do. I have to go pick up the registration for my new car today then we are going to babies r us and the bank to pay the mortgage, then to the melting pot for lunch. If any of you have a melting pot near you and haven't tried it out GO. And now that they do lunch we can eat for $40 rather than over 100... way worth it.

We are taking Annie to the aquarium in Camden this week too. It looks like a nice place if you ignore the not so nice area it is in. ( We will NOT be taking my new car down there)

Other than that it is a lot of work on the house and yard work to get done. Hopefully it will be nice enough that we can powerwash and stain the deck this week.

    Have a great week all!

  • My ILs are in town. We did some touristy stuff, Carter is sick (4 days of low grade fevers/nighttime coughs/goopy eyes/general lethargy), I got to play Wii for the first time (fun!), ate $.70 ice cream cones from a local dairy, and am exhausted from being up with Carter 5-10x a night since Friday night.

This week- I'm taking Carter to the doctor at 3 to see what is going on with him, we'll be hanging with my ILs till Weds when they fly back home,  I'll be helping my MIL buy a new digital camera and teaching her how to use it (should be...interesting), if Carter is feeling better at the end of the week maybe we'll go swimming, and trying to get some work done here at work.

have you gone to Nordstroms to get fitted?  I keep meaning to do that and have never made it (I really should since I am wearing my pre-pregnancy/pre-nursing) bras that don't fit at all.  There are also a bunch of boutiques that do fittings - I need to go. You've inspired me to get off my ass sometime and go.
