Anyone Live in the Bristow Area?

I just moved to Bristow and was wondering if anyone on this board lives in the area? If so, do you have any tips or advice about the city or any recommendations on restaurants, fun trips, entertainment, etc.? It is just my DH, our dog, and I right now.

I love the area and cannot wait to see everything it has to offer. I get a lot of heat from my friends in DC for moving away from the city but I have never, ever been a city person and I cannot wait to have the quiet lifestyle and be out in the surrounding country areas more. I love, love my house and it is my dream home through and through!

I know the commute into work (to Arlington) will be bad but I can't imagine it's worse than my hour long commute (on good days) on the metro that I was doing before.

Hey!  I have lived in Austin for almost 3 years... but I grew up in Manassas, VA!  Congrats on the house and such!  Some simple things in that area that I miss because I don't have them in Austin... you are close to a Caribou Coffee... you have to try a Mint Condition!  They have Q-Doba which is sort of like a Chipolte... I LOVE it.  If you go to Manassas try Nathan's Dairy Bar off Mathis Ave... seriously the BEST ice cream ever!  Also right in that area is Tony's NY Pizza.  Sorry this entire post is about food... but who doesn't love food??

I agree!! I lived in Manassas for 5 years and Tony's Pizza is fabulous!!  Also, Super Target... I miss it so much haha!

 Nice to see someone on here so close! I live in the Bridal Wood Subdivision off of Linton Hall. 

Agree, with everything above. Gainesville/Bristow...pretty much has everything except an Old Navy : (  Qdoba is amazing, although we now have a Chipotle. Let's see....There are lots of Vineyards out twords Warrenton, I def recommend going.

 Also your commute, depending on what time you leave will be over an hour. I work in Fairfax Circle and on awesome days it's 20min, on bad days during the school year it's taken me 2 1/5 hours.
