Re: Recommend your OB/GYN
Bridget Williamson at East Cooper Women's Center (or maybe Clinic?) owned by MUSC. LOVE HER.
She is a professor at MUSC, she is young (maybe in early thirties), and she is really good at taking the time to listen to anything and everything you want to talk to her about. She is reasonable but does not take any concern too lightly.
I have been going to her for 3 years. I am sure that I want her to deliver my kids. (whenever we get around to that).
I highly recommend Lowcountry Ob/Gyn as a medical group. http://www.lcobgyn.com/
When I was pregnant, I had one primary ob, but they have you have at least one appointment with every doctor in the practice so that you have experience with whomever is on call when you deliver. I genuinely liked them all. Unfortunately, my former ob from this practice whom I LOVED moved out of state, but that meant that I did get to know lots of their other doctors. Dr. Maggie Evans and Dr. Molly Joseph are both great. I'm not sure if Dr. Osbourne is taking new patients, but he was wonderful when I had some problems post-partem.
This group has offices in both Mount Pleasant and West Ashley and they deliver in East Cooper Regional Medical Center. In fact, their Mt. P. office is adjacent to the hospital. It was a great hospital to deliver in and has a great lactation consultant on staff if you decide to breastfeed (Linda Chilton).
Hope that helps!
