I'm taking Audit. It's familiar and I actually feel pretty good this time around....it prob helps that I worked my ass off for this one. I'm thinking I've put in about 100 hours and I have over 200 note cards that I made...also took notes during the lecture and pretty much re-wrote the book.
I'm just trying to decide if I should do a practice test this morning or just start hitting the supplemental questions. Thoughts?
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

Re: Mel
I would just do as many questions as you can. I'd also look into the simulations since they are a little bit different that the others.
Work of advice when you are actually taking the real simulations, use the research function as much as possible if you get caught up.
And I must say DAMN, that's a lot of studying. You are probably way over prepared but what I noticed with AUDIT, is that the material in the chapters didn't really correspond to the questions. Yes, you needed to know the material but the way the audit questions are asked are very odd.
Long story short, do
sorry, it posted before I was done.
Anywho, I would just keep doing questions. You'd be surprised how many of them will be repeats. 4 of my fellow co-workers jsut took audit in this testing window too and they all said that pretty much "memorizing" the questions really helped and simply reading wouldn't have been enough.
Let me know fi this doesn't make sense because I'm starting to feel like it's not and I'm just rambling.
Haha...no, it makes sense. I want to look at the sims b/c my old CW got a random FAR sim in her AUD test. I knew how to do it b/c I'd just taken FAR, but she was lost...problem is, I don't know where to find the practice simes in Becker, at least to look them over.
That's the one thing I've never studied.
I think finally passing was the kick in the ass I needed. I shredded the note cards I made for FAR in celebration and refuse to re-make them now so I'd better get these next 3 done in the next 15 months.

I've never done the SIMs in Becker either, maybe that's why I was having trouble passing. My Becker has expired (talk about cutting it close with this past test) so I can't get in.
I know the AICPA website has a practice one and it looks just like the real thing.

Thanks, I'll look at it.
My Becker expires in Sept and I'm not planning on taking BEC till Oct. I've heard you can call and they'll re-open it if it's that close so I may do that...thinking about trying Yager though. I have my fingers crossed that you won't have to worry about renewing your Becker!
