ack! my place is being invaded
by ants! it's better than other bugs that could be wanting to move in. they're just such a nuisance & i'm allergic to them.
i'll be glad when we get back to our regular temps.

i know, it sounds crazy to hear "i'm allergic to ants". the doctor looked at the huge welt on my 10 year old forehead & said that's an ant bite/sting. you're allergic & gave my mom a prescription to benadryl.
i've even stepped on an ant mound & little black ants poured out onto my barefeet. i had little welts all over my feet.
i'm happy that that's all i'm allergic too & benadryl is OTC now. oh! i'm allergic to yellow watermelon too. go figure.
I hate ants too. We used to have major ant problems where we live. You could not leave a crumb on the counter or they would find it. We tried everything and a few years ago my husband found an awesome solution. There is a pesticide at Home Depot that is in a granule form (the sprays don't work we tried them all) it has to be granules. They sell it in a large bag. You put it around the outside of your house and wet it with water. You do it every six months or so and the ants go away. We have not had an issue with ant in over 4 years now.

i was told last time the bug guy came, that when it gets hot like this, the ants are on the hunt for h2o. whenever it gets hot like this, we have them. when the temps are back to normal, they're gone.
i was planning on picking up ant traps when i go to target. thanks for the reminder, i forgot to put them on the list!
